Artifact, 1945
The Ruth Lebowich papers date from 1945 to 2018 measure 2.5 linear inches (1 box). The papers are arranged in four series: Family History, Photographs, Audio Visual, and Artifact.
The Family History series (1949-2018) includes immigration documents and newspaper clippings.
The Photographs series (1945-1975 and undated) shows the Jewish community in Sioux City, Iowa, including family, friends, and fellow parishioners.
The Audio Visual series (n.d.) includes Yiddish songs and Jewish stories on five CD’s.
The Artifact series(1945) consists of the tin plate that Martin (Moishe) Lebowich received upon entering a displaced persons camp in Germany following the Holocaust.

The Jane Schoonover Brill papers date from 1948 to 2018 and measure 2.5 linear inches (1 box). The papers are arranged in three series, Documents, Artifacts, and Photographs. The papers also include The Only Dance in Iowa by Max McElwain (2004) which is shelved in the IWA printed works collection.
The Documents series (2006-2018) includes press for the 2006 Guthrie Center Reunion and Brill’s notes.
The Photographs series (1949-1950) has loose photographs, two Iowa 6 on 6 girls’ basketball yearbooks, and a tournament scrapbook.
The Artifacts series (1948-1950) contains an Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union state tournament bracelet and a letter sweater patch.
